Hi, I’m Sarah Gilchrist.

Sarah is committed to creating a therapeutic space grounded in empathy and connection — one where adults feel safe and seen, whatever brought them to therapy. Her approach is collaborative, drawing on CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and somatic/body-based approaches as needed, tailored to each person rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

She works with people recovering from trauma — whether from a recent event or prolonged experiences such as abuse, neglect, or attachment wounds — as well as those navigating addiction, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

Sarah's background spans hospital inpatient and outpatient services and several years in suicide prevention at Lifeline, giving her a grounded understanding of both acute distress and the longer, steadier work of recovery. She brings that same steady, compassionate presence into every session, supporting clients toward greater self-understanding and meaningful, lasting change.
